Age diversity in the college classroom

Today's college classroom environments have grown to be pretty diverse when it comes to age. Years ago classes used to be somewhat segregated by age. Not that this was an intentional structure, it was just the way things tended to work out. Traditionally, younger students went to school during the day and working adults, referred to in that day as "non-traditional students", attended classes in the evening. On many college campus today, chances are you'd find a very different scenario.

College: Balancing grades with a social life

Going off to college comes with a lot of change. Change in responsibility, workload and, if you're like most college students, new experiences when it comes to social interaction. With so much to adjust to, it's no wonder so many students have difficulty balancing keeping up their grades with enjoying a vibrant social life.

Online degrees are a terrific way to pursue your education if you have time restrictions or responsibilities that rely on your need to be at home. I fell into the latter category and took online classes for about seven or eight years. This excellent opportunity allowed me to continue the education I had to abandon many years ago due to family obligations. Through the beauty of the internet, I was able to do my work from home and earn that degree!
